Anti-Lies?
I was tempted just now to name this blog "Anti-Lies with Anthony Maloley." But I decided to keep it simple.
A fun fact about Donald Traitor is that he named his social media "Truth Social." And the Soviet Union (The Evil Empire, remember?) named their official propaganda newspaper of lies "Pravda," which means Truth. And he's old enough to remember that.
A classic act of a liar is to accuse their adversary of lying. A thief accuses someone else of being the real thief. An abuser blames the victim. Watch Traitor, he does it constantly, at a grandiose scale.
Lies cause problems. And lies prevent people from solving problems. Of course, if one's lies are successful, one can simply pretend they are solving problems, as he does.
Truth is sharing of correct information, which increases understanding, which leads to actual solutions, not fake ones.
Some people believe they know the future, and this leads to lying. If truth can cause a bad future, then one may believe that lying is morally correct, as the ends will justify the means.
One may need a reminder that one of the ten commandments is to not lie.
Jesus said the devil is the father of lies and of the liars he was speaking to. (John 8:44)
I'm pretty sure there are other places in the Bible that make clear that God disapproves of lying.
So why is the most notorious liar in American history our acting dictator, and why are millions of otherwise good people compromising their morals to lie for him?
Again, they think they know the future, but they don't. They're guessing. They guess that Republicans have a perfect crystal ball, and that Democrats are always wrong, which is hilarious. But wishful thinking is very powerful, and very dangerous.
Certainly there is more to it, such as how some people believe that the notorious liar was chosen by Jesus, apparently to lie to us. But Jesus isn't known as the great deceiver; that would be someone else.
Jesus also wouldn't abruptly discontinue wheat shipments to starving children; that also would be someone else.
Many of the future-guessers would say all Democrats work for the devil. But more sane people know that isn't true, and honest sane people should actually say so.
People need to know the difference between the Holy Spirit, and their own imagination... and schizoid hallucinations, which are likely treatable with proper medication.
I assure you, I do not work for the devil. I want the lying children of the devil out of our White House.
I miss the truth. I miss elected officials that do what is actually smart or morally right, instead of this lie-based madness.
You don't have to sell your soul for politics. Just being honest will solve a ton of problems.
I'll be in touch.
